We use recycled nylon made from airbags from discarded cars, which are washed and dyed.
The nylon yarn used in airbags is called "66 nylon," and is characterized by its high mechanical strength, light weight, and resistance to friction.
Each piece has its own unique look, with wrinkles and original stitching still remaining.

With the large number of new cars manufactured and sold each year, approximately 3.5 million cars are disposed of in Japan annually. The recycling rate for Japanese cars is said to be in the upper 90% range, and while Japan has amazing technology, airbags and seat belts are very strong and have a special structure, making them difficult to reuse for something else, and unfortunately, many of them are disposed of.
