This belt utilizes the stretch and mesh of the fabric. It's designed to be a bit longer, allowing for a stylish, peeking-out look!
Each belt is hand-knitted by local women using traditional methods, repurposing selvedge fabric that would otherwise be discarded at a textile factory in India. Like our other items, it's made from knitted T-shirt fabric, making it soft against the skin. It also stretches appropriately, making it very easy to use. It comes with a T-shirt fabric drawstring pouch (pictured).
Please note: As this product is entirely handmade by knitting the selvedge scraps of cut-and-sew fabric, there may be individual differences.
What is PROJECT1000? PROJECT1000 is an employment project initiated by "Shanti," an NPO established by the TecnoCraft Group, a listed company in India. Its goal is to teach skills to women in rural Maharashtra, India, enabling them to earn 1,000 rupees a day, while simultaneously boosting their motivation. All products are handmade by individuals who have acquired knowledge in product development, design, techniques, and quality control know-how.
